A respectable addition to anyone’s collection. This is a wonderful reference to have on your shelf! Dr. Weil covers everything you want to know about maintaining/regaining your health, and puts it across in his no-nonsense, down-to-earth way. The index is nicely done, and Dr. Weil includes sources where one might obtain vitamins, herbs, etc. at reasonable prices. Dr. Weil writes very entertainingly, while still being real. Like med school without the lies! Dr. Weil has the unique ability to relay nuggets of medical wisdom and engender a sense of trust in the reader. How many people really trust their doctors? Believe it or not, there actually is one that you can trust! His books are written in plain English with just enough technical details to convince the reader that Dr. Weil REALLY knows what he is talking about. This book is a one volume wonder with a phenomenal amount of information. Dr. Weil begins with the fundamental aspects of health, like exercise, diet, and breathing, and concludes with an excellent reference to many ailments. Anyone interested in becoming healthy, I recommend you throw out all those “sickness-centric” medical books, and pick up this one book ACTUALLY concerned with health.
